Nuveld Terms and Conditions
Version 1.0
Important Notice:
These Terms and Conditions are provided as placeholder legal content for the Nuveld platform and should be reviewed by a qualified legal professional before commercial launch.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using Nuveld, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not create an account or use the platform.
When signing up, you must confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions and the Nuveld Privacy Policy.
2. Description of Nuveld
Nuveld is a livestock and farm management software platform designed to help farmers record herd-related events such as births, deaths, purchases, and sales. Nuveld helps calculate livestock numbers based on event history.
Nuveld does not track individual animals in the first version. Nuveld does not provide veterinary, financial, legal, tax, insurance, or regulatory advice.
3. Farmer Accounts
Farmers are responsible for maintaining accurate account information and protecting their login credentials.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your farmer account, including activity performed by anyone who gains access to your account or herd codes.
You agree to notify Nuveld support if you believe your account or herd codes have been accessed without permission.
4. Worker Herd-Code Access
Nuveld allows farmers to create herds with unique 8-digit herd codes. These codes allow workers or other authorized people to access a limited herd-specific event logging interface.
Workers do not receive full Nuveld accounts. A valid herd code allows access only to the specific herd connected to that code.
Farmers are responsible for deciding who receives a herd code. Farmers may regenerate a herd code to revoke access.
Nuveld is not responsible for inaccurate data entered by workers or other people who were given access to a valid herd code.
5. Accuracy of Livestock Records
Nuveld calculates herd counts based on recorded events. The accuracy of these counts depends on the accuracy and completeness of the data entered by farmers and workers.
You are responsible for reviewing and verifying records before relying on them for business, accounting, animal management, sale, purchase, legal, or compliance decisions.
6. No Professional Advice
Nuveld is a recordkeeping and management tool only.
Nuveld does not provide:
- Veterinary advice
- Animal health diagnosis
- Financial advice
- Tax advice
- Legal advice
- Insurance advice
- Regulatory compliance advice
You should consult qualified professionals before making decisions that require professional advice.
7. Subscriptions and Payments
Nuveld may offer free, trial, and paid subscription plans. Subscription functionality may initially be provided as a placeholder until payment processing is added.
If paid subscriptions are introduced, pricing, billing cycles, included features, cancellation terms, and renewal terms will be provided before payment is required.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Nuveld for unlawful purposes.
- Attempt to access another farmer's account or data.
- Attempt to guess or misuse herd codes.
- Interfere with the security or operation of the platform.
- Upload malicious code or harmful content.
- Use Nuveld in a way that could damage, disable, or overload the service.
9. Data Retention
Nuveld may retain farm, herd, and event records for operational, audit, backup, legal, or legitimate business purposes.
Historical livestock records may be preserved even if a farmer deletes a herd or account, unless deletion is legally required and technically feasible.
10. Account Deletion
Farmers may request or perform account deletion through the Nuveld account settings page.
Account deletion may:
- Disable access to the account.
- End active sessions.
- Remove or anonymize personal account information.
- Mark related farm records as deleted or inactive.
- Preserve historical event records where necessary for audit, history, legal, or operational purposes.
Some information may remain in backups or logs for a limited period.
11. Service Availability
Nuveld aims to provide a reliable service, but availability is not guaranteed. The platform may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, network issues, hosting issues, or circumstances outside Nuveld's control.
Offline functionality may allow some actions to be queued locally and synced later, but successful sync depends on connection availability and server acceptance.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nuveld and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or business losses, including lost profits, lost data, inaccurate livestock records, or losses arising from reliance on information stored in or calculated by Nuveld.
13. Changes to the Terms
Nuveld may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. If material changes are made, farmers may be required to accept the updated terms before continuing to use the platform.
14. Contact
For questions about these Terms and Conditions, contact Nuveld using the support or contact details provided on the website.
